AM/Senior Executive - Research and Development [Food]

We are currently looking for a AM/Senior Executive - Research and Development for a leading player in the Food Manufacturing industry with a legacy of more than 80 years in Malaysia. This position requires your urgent attention.

• Based in Kuala Lumpur

• Project Management: Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing R&D projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Product Development: Lead the development of new products from concept to commercialization, including formulation, testing, and optimization.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of R&D staff, providing guidance and support to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all new product developments comply with food safety regulations and quality standards.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and opportunities for new product development.
• Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into the manufacturing process.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of R&D activities, including formulation, testing results, and project progress reports.
• Innovation: Drive innovation by exploring new ingredients, technologies, and processes to create unique and competitive products.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, ensuring all products meet regulatory requirements.

the experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Processing or any other relevant discipline.
• Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in R&D or any relevant experiences.
• Possess R&D/product development experience in sauces/seasoning is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in both Mandarin as this role requires to to serve a lot of Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Occassionally required to travel out of state to visit supplier/customers.
